Pen and paper (now the options have increased with technology, tab, my phone, my laptop)… that’s all I need and the words flow freely and expressively addressing the matter at hand. I’m traditional jare, I still like my pen and paper even with all the technology. It’s just beautiful to see my handwriting. If I had a chance I’d dip feather in ink and write on a parchment. I like to think I was born with a golden pen in my hand and a brain that’s in sync with it. It’s a talent and a gift but talents and gifts are nothing if not developed. READ MORE

I figured I’m not gonna be a CU student for much longer, so I decided to chip this in. I am a Covenant University student and I am proud of it.

Many people underestimate private schools and refer to it as “glorified secondary schools” but in real sense when I think about it, there’s no place I’d rather be. I know the rules are neck breaking and the schedule is crazy. You have to lead at least 3 lives, the spiritual life, academic life and a social life. You have to lead each like the other doesn’t exist. The pictures below are pictures I took with my tab in school so they may not be topnotch but they’ll do.

The way people take pictures and upload on Instagram. The way I-pads, tabs and Mac books are part of outfits, all that just looks beautiful, the annoying meetings, boring public lectures, every single thread that has come together to make the textile of an awesome woman, ME. I love CU and I think there is no place I’d rather be.

CuuuI also think you should love whatever school you passed through because it has shaped you into who you are now, it pushed you to work on yourself and should be proud. equotesss   Love,

THE TIME WHEEL: A fun way to manage your time

*wide grin* Hi, hope you are having a wonderful day? Well I am and I thought I should share my latest discovery with you. On one of my internet escapades I found something and I think you might find it interesting:

Introducing my latest internet site discovery… *plays theme song, drum rolls*

You’ll have to click to view what it is all about and I think you should visit this site. It’ll teach you great life lessons with the simplest words and illustration. I stumbled on this post by Erin Greenwald titled The Easiest Way to See If You’re Spending Your Time Right  and I saw this activity, tried, saw how much of an eye opener it was and I thought to myself, why don’t I share it with you. You should try it too. Then try it again after a week and then a month and see how much improvement you are making at managing your time. Let’s call it the Time Management Wheel.

All you need for this activity is a crayon or marker or different pen colors or you can be creative and use patterns (dots, thin stripes, thick stripes, deep shading, light shading with pencil and pen) or even your lipstick 🙂 . Just ensure you have something to differentiate each activity with.

Give each activity a unique color in each hour of the circle based on the activity you usually fill that time with. YOU CAN START!

And hey… My book comes out in May, 2014 “THE DIAMOND OF LIFE” by BLESSING ABENG

MARCH: Dare to Match

Holla… It’s a few minutes to the end of march and I thought to myself… let the world in on your worst color… Well, I used to detest pink, I felt it had no significance and was living off the significant descriptions of other colors. I eventually got over this intense dislike in 2010 and acquired a few pink possession.

Here is a shoot I did in my only pink dress. _MG_9241 _MG_9242 This month, I learnt great and sensitive lessons. Your path in life, no one can choose it for you. You are totally responsible for the occurrences in your life, don’t push blames. When you do, you become a failure. I also learnt a lot about value and value adding. My biggest lesson was the possibility embedded in the meager and mega theory. A theory that I’d summarize in this manner: The only wealth you need to add value is the wealth of knowledge on the importance of value adding. You do not need money to add value. Money can be a  means of value addition but it is not limited to it. Value can be added on a large scale and can also be added by doing or saying little things that would go a long way. Our deeds, our words and our attitude go a long way. Words are seeds we sow to yield trees of hope and fruits of value and fulfillment. It is nice to be important but it is far more important to be nice.

Back to my list of dislikes

Did I mention that I disliked gold too? Well, I’m mentioning it now. I disliked gold for a long time and I had a strong thing for stones and silver but then I tried gold here and it looked good. I didn’t exactly try it, my stylist caused this… but I have grown to accept gold and pink. This dislikes made me realize that the hatred or dislike of a thing has its root in your mind. Once you locate and uproot it you’ll have space to plant new seeds of love and appreciation._MG_9246 _MG_9254 _MG_9253 Finally, this month, I learnt the importance of assertion. It is beautiful to be assertive and not aggressive. It takes a lot of maturity and diplomacy to be assertive. Assertion is a proof of intelligent confidence. This month’s edition of ” Meet Einsteinette” you get the chance to ask me a question.

Well, I love the color RED but it is not my best color. I love the “oldies”. I hardly let go of old songs and musicians… I am still a die hard fan of Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Etta James, Micheal Jackson, Micheal Bolton, Patti La Belle etc… you name them… I love oldies!!! Hey I listen to new songs too and break my bones to the Nigerian songs and all but the soul oldies have my heart.

Who is Einsteinette?

Happy new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its never too late to send new year greetings and we are still in January so I’m hoping you’ll forgive my late greeting. Its an awesome 2014 and i thought it will be awesome to grace my readers with full knowledge of the face and personality behind Einsteinette. So for the rest of the year, every month, there’ll be a new face unveiling a side of Einsteinette. Well, it will be my face throughout but you get to see what i like to do, who i am etc…

100 blind men were asked to describe an elephant by feeling a part of it. The part that was felt varied and there were 100 definitions of the same elephant. 1 said it was soft and  another said it was hard, others came up with different concepts ranging from short, long, huge, small etc. If they had eyes, they’ll have seen the whole elephant and described it perfectly. I am leaving the shadows and standing on the stage, unveiling the girl behind the curtains
